March 2 -- Washington County Fairgrounds, Marietta, OH

4th Annual Winter Swap Meet

Finding parts for antique cars can be challenging, especially the early cars. Some parts you can purchase through commercial vendors, but others are rare and you have to travel far distances to find. Finally, the opportunity to find rare car parts locally is coming to the Mid Ohio Valley on March 3rd in Marietta, Ohio.

The 4th Annual Winter Swap Meet will be held March 2, 2013 at the Washington County Fair Grounds located at 922 Front Street, north of downtown Marietta. The meet will be specializing in antique car parts. Vendors will be selling parts for early Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford and other makes. One registered vendor will be selling tons of Model A parts. Some vendors will also be selling car bodies and complete cars.

The event is sponsored by the Country Roads T & A Ford Club and the Mid Ohio Valley Ford and Mustang Club. The event will be held inside the Jr. Fair Building. Admission is $4.00 per person and children under 12 are free. The doors will be open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Parking is free. Pre-registration for a 10 x 10 vendor space is $15.00 or $20.00 on day of the meet. Tables for rent are $10.00 each. Vendor setup is 3:00-7:00 P.M. Friday and 6:00-7:00 A.M. Saturday.

Central California Regional Meet Jamboree

The Jamboree will be hosted by the Charter Oak A’s at the Lamp Lighter Inn, 3300 West Mineral King Avenue. Friday we will be touring the Giant Redwoods in Sequoia National Park along with a great BBQ that evening.

Saturday Tours will be: 1. The Renown Murals in the quaint town of Exeter, California. 2. Visit Tulare Co. Museum at Mooney’s Grove Park (home of the End of the Trail Statue) and Antique Tractors at the International Agri Center in Tulare. 3. World famous Friesian horses along with Antique Carriages and a Carousel Dairy operation.

There will be two seminars you will not want to miss, ending with a Grand Banquet and raffle drawing featuring a Model A engine.

Portland Swap Meet

Presented by six Portland Oregon area antique car clubs, The Portland Swap Meet is the largest auto parts swap meet on the west coast with approximately 3,500 vendor stalls and over 50,000 shoppers each April at the Portland Expo Center. This is the ORIGINAL Portland Swap Meet held at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center, usually referred to as the Expo Center, next to the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon. While it still focuses on antique and vintage cars, 1980 and older, all cars of this vintage have a place to be shown or sold.

1st Annual Idaho 4-Banger 400

Treasure Valley A’s sponsors the first annual Idaho 4 Banger 400, open to any vehicle with a four cylinder engine manufactured prior to 1935. The endurance tour will rally in the Ada County Fairgrounds parking lot on Saturday. We depart on the first leg at 9:00 a.m. The destination will be to Stanley, Idaho and the route will take us through Emmett, Sweet, Smith’s Ferry, Banks, Lowman and finally Stanley. We will have a complimentary barbeque in Stanley at the end of the first day’s tour.

On the second day we head over Galena Summit into Sun Valley. The return to Boise will be through Hailey, Ketchum, Fairfield and Mountain Home to Boise. The host hotel in Stanley is the Mountain Village Lodge. The phone number for the lodge is 208-774-3661. The entry fee is $30 for car, driver and navigator.
