Plans for an International Model A Day began in 2008 when Bruce Adams and others came up the idea for this event. 2009 would be the first year of this annual event.
Many chapters celebrated International Model A Day on the weekend of September 10-11 2016. Several groups plan to send accounts of their events to share with us on the MAFCA web site. Here are a few that have arrived: |

New Zealand: 2016 IMAD was celebrated by the Canterbury, Nelson and West Coast clubs with a weekend tour to Motueka, a small town in the Nelson Bays district. Forty-five A’s took part in the 80 mile tour on Saturday along rivers and over hills in brilliant sunshine. A spring storm the previous week meant there was plenty of snow on the mountains in the background. Lunch stop was at Kaiteriteri Beach, a popular holiday spot. Australia:
No matter what, I was determined to celebrate International Model A Day . I know Henry is looking down from that great Model A Garage in the sky keeping an eye on his legacy and I have a feeling my 31 Five window Coupe and my two mates 28 Tudor and 30 Sports Coupe also knew he was there. We did a tour through our home town of Brisbane and ended up at the mouth of the river entrance under our Gateway Bridge.

Oregon:
Webmaster Rick Black joined his chapter, Henry's Lady in Grants Pass Oregon for a tour of a retirement home. Afterwards, Rick took the back roads home to Medford and passed through the small town of Gold Hill, where the Victorian home of Chavener Thompson sits just outside the city limits.
The home has recently been sold to someone outside of the family and has been restored to its 1880 splendor. |

The Puerto Rico chapter celebrates International Model A day at the "Cathedral of Rum" Bacardi Corporation in Cataño, Puerto Rico.

While we were out in our Model A's on International Model A Day, we came across the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile in Rancho Cucamonga Ca.
