This is a very Special Sport Coupe. It was part of the Ford Cauffiel collection/museum in Toledo Ohio. He was a very well known master entrepreneur and philanthropist. This was the first car in his collection in 1986 and launched Ford Cauffiel’s lifelong passion for classic automobile preservation, leading to the creation of his famous private museum. It was used for numerous long distance tours. It was part of the PENN-OHIO “A” Ford Club New England Tour in 1986 and the Michigan Tour in 1987. It also received the 1^st Place Senior Award from the PENN-OHIO “A” Ford Club. As a faithful, proven touring vehicle, this Sport Coupe features classic period-correct characteristics. It has 17,135 miles since restoration. It spent many years on display in the Ford Cauffiel museum until I purchased it in 2023. I have returned it to fully operational status and have driven it about 150 miles. I have installed some very discreet LED turn signals in the gap in the back bumper. I used the cowl lights for the front turn signals. The Sport Coupe variant offered a distinctive fixed fabric-covered roof coupled with simulated chrome landau irons, giving it the upscale look of a convertible but with the year-round weather protection of a standard coupe. The car comes highly accessorized with period-accurate details, featuring options like a rumble seat, cloth covered trunk, dual wind wings, and a special radiator cap ornament.
