I think Old Man Winter has finally decided to give us a break and is retreating north. The deep freeze temperatures and extraordinary snowstorms we endured this winter put a damper on any winter Model Aing. Fortunately, I think we have turned the corner as the weather has warmed up bit and the other day I saw some Crocus’ sprouting in the flower beds. This is a sure sign that we can safely get our Model A’s out of hibernation and on the road touring again.
Speaking of touring my club recently finished its tour schedule for 2026 that will keep our members busy from April to December. Our Tour Director assembled a group to brainstorm events, activities and destinations that would be of interest to the members. The result was a schedule that included 33 activities to keep our wheels rolling this season. I am sure your club has established it touring schedule as well.
The main MAFCA event will see many members touring to Pendleton, OR for the National Convention. This is a beautiful area for touring in your Model A, and Jack Remilard and the team have provided plenty of time to explore this scenic area.

If you have not registered for this event, just scan this QR code or visit:

For those attending Pendleton, I and all other members of the MAFCA board will be there and we look forward to meeting you. Please be sure to come by and say hello during our board meeting that will be held on Saturday June 6th.
At the main office there is a lot happening, our new membership Directory is off to the printer and will be mailed out soon to those who preordered it. If you didn’t preorder a copy you can call the MAFCA office now to get your Member Directory.
In the meantime, give your Model A its spring wake-up and get those wheels rolling.
