Did you make it to Pendleton for the 2026 MAFCA Convention? If not, you missed a wonderful event. Jack Remillard and his team hosted an excellent convention, with something for everyone to enjoy. The next issue of The Restorer magazine will include a full report, but I can share that the Rough Rider Tour was the one participants were especially enthusiastic about. Videos of this tour have been posted on various Model A social media sites and provide a great sense of what the tour was all about.
My congratulations also go out to everyone who participated in the Vehicle and Fashion judging. The time spent preparing for these events can be stressful, but the results are a real pleasure for those of us who get to admire your hard work. Being recognized at the banquet is a well-earned culmination of that effort.
Meanwhile, back home, Model A touring is in full swing. Many of us participated in local hometown July 4th parades, and at our parade we noticed a much larger turnout of spectators, which we attributed to the 250th anniversary of the county’s founding. Everyone was out celebrating.
You will soon receive your membership renewal information, along with ballots for the candidates running for the MAFCA Board of Directors. Please take the time to read each candidate’s biography, make your selections, and return your ballot and membership renewal as soon as possible.
There is still plenty of touring time left for the Model A’s, so keep those wheels rolling.
