After an extensive yearlong search for a new webmaster, both within our membership and beyond, the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA) has exciting news to share. In March of this year, the MAFCA Board of Directors engaged the services of Peter Gariepy, tasking him with two critical missions: to take charge as our new webmaster and to transform our existing website into a modern, easily manageable platform.
And now, after six months of dedicated development, we proudly unveil our brand-new website—officially residing at mafca.com. Here are the details:
- Peter Gariepy: The Driving Force
- Peter brings a wealth of experience, having architected websites for esteemed car clubs like the Antique Automobile Association, Horseless Carriage Club, The Pierce Arrow Society and Vintage Chevrolet Club of America. His love for all things automobilia aligns perfectly with our passion for Model A Fords.
- With Peter at the helm, we’ve not only revamped the website but also upgraded our MAFCA Store. Our new modern e-commerce application ensures seamless shopping for all your MAFCA needs.
- A Successful Test Run: The Ruidoso Auction
- Many of you had a sneak peek of our new website during the Ruidoso Auction. Not only did the auction run smoothly, but we also encountered zero technical glitches over the two-week period.
- Peter’s meticulous work paid off, and we’re confident that our new platform will serve our members and “members to be” exceptionally well.
- A Grateful Farewell to Rick Black
- Before we celebrate our new webmaster, let’s pause to express our heartfelt gratitude to Rick Black. Rick has been the driving force behind mafca.com since its inception. His dedication and stewardship have been invaluable.
- While Rick steps back from day-to-day website management, he remains an integral part of our Tech Q&A team, alongside Paul Shinn and others. His expertise will continue to benefit our community.
So, here’s to Peter, Rick, and the entire MAFCA family—a fresh digital journey awaits us!
